Top 15 List Of PS4 Exclusive Games

With the imminent arrival of the PS5, we thought it’d be a good time to take a look at some of the great exclusives that have been released for PS4 over the course of its lifetime.

In recent times, Sony has overseen the introduction of some great MMO PS4 games, mystery games for the PS4, and even some top of the range roguelike PS4 games. This list, though, will look at the best console exclusive games for Sony. Here is our top 15 list of PS4 exclusive games.

15. Bloodborne (2015)

Bloodborne has the ability to recreate all of the worst nightmares you had when you were younger. Although not an out and out horror game, Bloodborne is terrifyingly atmospheric and has bone-chilling enemies that you will want to dispose of as quickly as possible.

With smooth gameplay, a stunning art style, and a gothic Victorian setting, Bloodborne is a timeless classic that will inspire future games for years to come. Yes, it’s difficult (some may say too difficult), but that just adds to the rewarding feeling that you get as you advance throughout the game. Bloodborne is easily one of the best PS4 exclusives to ever be released.

14. Yakuza 6 (2018)

Yakuza 6 is a PS4 exclusive which nicely rounds up the Yakuza story and is arguably the best game in the entire series. Kazuma Kiryu’s story is intense and engaging, and you will probably feel closer to the character than in any of the previous games.

Despite being caught in the middle of rival gang warfare and family drama, Yakuza 6 does a good job of keeping things whacky and light-hearted. You still get put in silly situations around Tokyo that yield ridiculous and surprising results.

It is also not necessary to have played the previous games to enjoy this one, Yakuza 6 offers an easy introduction to the franchise and has a thoroughly enjoyable story for all to enjoy.

13. Ratchet and Clank (2016)

The PS4 Ratchet and Clank instalment is one of the best entries to the series across all platforms. The detail that is found in the world building and game design is tremendous and everything comes together cohesively.

Great writing, good voice acting, and some quirky characters make this a fun ride from start to finish, with a variety of cool weapons to help you along the way.

This Ps4 exclusive has a varied gameplay that will keep you engaged – one moment you’re solving puzzles, the next you’re exploring via jetpack. Whatever your age, this is one for all to enjoy.

12. Shadow of the Colossus (2018)

This rebuild of the 2005 PS2 classic replicates the feel of the original while doing it justice, and then some. Shadow of the Colossus for the PS4 is a wondrous game with some of the most stunning visuals of any game on the platform.

The storyline is intriguingly vague. You must save a girl by travelling around the picturesque world on your horse to take out giant beasts. It sounds simple, and it is.

The game’s real beauty is found in its world. It’s easy to get lost in the impressive aesthetics on offer, and with a masterful soundtrack to go with it, Shadow of the Colossus easily becomes one of the best console exclusives for Sony.

11. Persona 5 (2017)

If I’m completely honest, it took me a while to get into Persona 5. This may be an unpopular opinion as the game was widely revered as one of the best JPRGs of recent times.

Persevering with the game was the best decision I could have made, and you should too if you’re unsure so far.

Persona 5 has a unique storyline and gameplay that manifests between two different worlds – the shadow world and the real world. The shadow world provides some trippy enemies and some weird and wonderful characters – some you may like instantly, others may take you a while to warm to. The combat is similar to the Final Fantasy series, and the world is huge and complex.

Whether you’ve played any Persona games before, this is one that anyone can enjoy if they are willing to put in a bit of time initially.
