The Easy Way

The easiest way to unlock Rosalina is if you have a Super Mario Galaxy save file on your Wii. If you do, all you need to do is load up Mario Kart and Rosalina should be available for you to use.

If you have Super Mario Galaxy but have not yet created a save file, simply load up the game and create a new save slot. Then, quit the game and reopen Mario Kart, Rosalina should be there. You may have to restart the Wii if this doesn’t work the first time.

The Hard Way

If you don’t have a Super Mario Galaxy save file, don’t worry, there is another way to unlock Rosalina. The bad news is that this way is quite hard and may take quite a bit of time.

You must unlock Rosalina by getting a star in each cup on Mirror Mode. Yes, you heard correct. That includes the mirrored versions of Rainbow Road and Grumble Volcano

This is certainly a challenge, but it’s also doable. If you enjoy the harder races in Mario Kart Wii, then this is a great way to unlock Rosalina.

Unlocking Rosalina isn’t the only difficult character to unlock in the game, there’s also Dry Bowser, too.

To unlock Dry Bowser, you need at least a 1-Star on all of the 150cc Grand Prix cups. This means that you’ll have to unlock all of the different cups, too, but that shouldn’t be too hard.

There is another way of unlocking Dry Bowser, but it takes much longer. The alternate way requires you to take part in 4,350 races or battles. Once you do this, Dry Bowser will be available as a character to play as.
